carburant Designed for child care professionals, Baby Sitter eases the organization, planning and follow-up of child cares. Keep track of past cares and closely monitor the status of your payments.

MV01_01

carburant Plan scheduled cares, either one-shot or recurrent. Associate these cares with the appropriate customer (parent or family) that you have previously entered in the application directory (possible access to your iPhone directory).

Several information can be specified for each care: a time period (start and end date/time), the parent or family, the place, a list of children names, as well as a potential frequency if needed (every day, every week, etc.).

MV01_02

Baby-Sitter thus allows you to:

confirm your attendance by sending an automatically generated text message or e-mail to the customer

receive a reminder when the next scheduled care is about to begin (you can customize the notification time in the settings)

After the care, you can validate its state and modify the start and end time if necessary (in case it was shorter or longer than planned). Should you need to remember anything, you also have the opportunity to add a comment.

MV01_3

Baby-Sitter automatically calculates the amount of money your are owed, according to the duration of the care periods and the hourly rate associated to the customer (parent or family). You also have the opportunity to apply flat rates for a customer. Then, once you received the payment, you can register its amount.

carburant Baby-Sitter enables you to have a clear and precise overview of your child cares:

  • scheduled cares

  • carried out cares that you are yet to be paid for

  • completed cares (i.e. carried out and paid for)

  • global monthly report by customer

carburant A schedule view and a synthetic dashboard allow you to keep track at any time of the number, amount and hourly total for the cares, whether scheduled, planned or paid/completed. You can also consult the detailed information for each care that you entered.

Baby-Sitter also generates monthly reports presenting you lists and graphics about past and paid cares, as well as a projected estimate of your income related to cares scheduled for the next weeks and months. The application also also gives you the opportunity to export all these data by e-mail as a CSV (spreadsheet) file.

Help & FAQ

How can I add a new customer (parent, family)?

Hit the “+” button on the Address book tab. You can then enter the information related to this person or import it from your iPhone address book.

If you are paid for the cares you perform for that person, don’t forget to specify a hourly or flat rate so the application can calculate the financial amount of cares associated to this customer.

On the other hand, leave this field blank if you won’t charge anything for these cares.

How can I schedule a new care?

Hit the “+” on the Scheduled Cares tab. You can then enter its planned date and time, and specify the customer (use the directory tab to add customers or establishments that leave kids under your supervision).

If necessary, you can enter a specific place (your home or somewhere else) and a recurring frequency (every week, month, etc.).

Use the “Send” button to forward all the related information to the intended customer by text message or e-mail. This feature is only available if:

You can modify or delete a care at any time until it actually took place.

How can I schedule recurrent cares?

The main characteristic of recurrent cares is the preset periodicity: they are scheduled according to that frequency until the end date you specify.

To define recurrent cares, create the initial care as a normal one, then fill in the recurrence cell with:

The application will create the predefined number of cares, all based on to the information entered for the initial one.

You then have the opportunity to modify the whole series or just a part of it (should you need to change the time or place).

What is the life cycle of a care?

When you create a new care, its status is “Scheduled”.

When the specified date and time has passed, it is displayed in orange in the scheduled care list with the “Pending validation” status.

You can then use the “Carried out care” button to indicate that it was indeed carried out and if needed:

The care will then appear:

For charged cares, you can now select the “Pending Payments” label in the Follow-up tab: the cares which payments are yet to be settled are then displayed. Select the care you were just paid for, and input the amount of money (which can be different from the amount calculated by the application).

Once paid for, the status of the care is “Completed”.

How can I group payments for several cares?

If several care payments are pending, you have the opportunity to register a grouped payment once and for all.

For example, if you performed four different cares for your customer Sophie and you are still to be paid for these cares:

If you plan monthly payments for a customer, you can also use the following method:

How can I save the application data?

Application data backup is a built-in feature of your iPhone-iPad and iTunes, as long as you regularly synchronize your device with iTunes on your PC or Mac.

At the beginning of the syncing process, iTunes saves the following data from your device:

When you change your device, or even with your current device, you are able to restore that backup with iTunes. You will thus be able to retrieve all the data and content saved during the last syncing.

If you have many data stored in your database, it is strongly recommended that you backup manually your database onto your PC/Mac (or any other support) using the "Export Database" feature. (see "How can I transfer my Baby Sitter database to another device?").

Restoring your database from backup is then possible with the "Import Database" feature.
